How to Transfer Money Online Instantly, for Free

Ria Money Transfer has an ongoing promotion where your first online money transfer is free of charge. Normally, sending money online via money transfer companies will usually cost your between $5 to $15 in fees, depending on factors such as where you are sending it to, where you are sending it from, how soon do you want it received, etc. This article is a guide on how you can send money online, to be received almost instantly for free. 1. Go to Ria Money Transfer at www.riamoneytransfer.com
On that page:
a. Choose the country you are sending money to in the first drop down. (For the sake of example, I picked Philippines.)
b. Enter the amount you want to send.
c. Click the “Send Money” button.

2. You will be taken to the next page that will ask you to log-in (if you had an existing account), or register, if you are not registered on the site yet. For this guide, I am assuming you aren’t registered, yet. Click the “Register” button.

3. On the next page, enter the following information:
a. On the log-in information box, enter your first name, last name, email address and password.
b. In the security information box, pick a question you would easily know the answer to in the drop-down menu. Enter your answer to that question in the text field below.
c. Choose an image you want to associate with your account (Ria implemented this security measure so its users can confirm they are on the official Ria site). I picked the starfish because I like beaches.
d. In the disclosure box, check the first two disclaimers (a pop up window with details about their terms and conditions, and consent to electronic records will appear when you check these boxes). Checking the third box is optional and up to you if you want to opt-in to their email promotions.
e. Click Continue.

4. The next page will say that email has been sent. Go to your email account and find the email that Ria has just sent. Make sure to check your Junk or Spam folder because some email providers are too very strict with their filtering and any message that contains certain terms (such as money) are automatically labeled spam. Click the registration verification link included in that email.

5. Once you click on that email, it will ask you to enter your password to activate your account. Click “Submit” after you enter your password.

6. In order to send money online, you are required to enter the required information in the next page.
• First Name
• Last Name
• Date of Birth
• Residential Address
• City
• State/Province
• Postal Code
• Country
• Telephone
Click Continue (or complete later, if you want.)

7. The information you have entered on the first page will now be carried over to the next page. (Note: If it has been a while since you first logged on, your session could end and you will have to re-enter the recipient country and amount to send again.

Now you need to choose a delivery method. This is how you would like the receiver to get the funds. Ignore the fees that are shown along with the delivery methods. If this is your first send, the fees will be waived in the final order page.
a. Bank Deposit – the funds are directly deposited to your receiver’s bank account.
b. Cash Pick –up – choose this if your receiver does not have a bank account. They can pick up the money from a location you choose, so choose the agent location closest to your receiver.
c. Other pay-out options that are only available to some countries: ATM payout, home delivery.

For the sake of this example, let’s assume you are sending directly to a bank account, so choose bank deposit.

8. On the next page, enter the name of the bank of the receiver, as well as his bank account information such as bank account number, account type (checking or savings), and branch city.

9. On the next page, enter your receiver’s information:

10. On the next page is where you choose where you would like to account you would like the funds to be taken from (your payment method). Again, ignore the fees that are shown along with the delivery methods. If this is your first send, the fees will be waived in the final order page.
a. Bank Account – If you would like to use your bank account to send money from, use this option. Note that it could take up to 4 days for the receiver to get the money.
b. Credit or Debit Card – Use this option if you would like to send money with your credit or debit card. This usually makes the transfer a lot faster (as quickly as 10 minutes).
Enter your account information and click Next.

11. On the next page, review that all information is correct. Find that the service charge has been waived, and you are only paying for your send amount. Click “Complete My Transaction” when you are ready.

12. You will receive an email from Ria containing your Order receipt. If you chose to the have the funds picked up in cash, inform your receiver of the order number, the amount sent, and to bring ID or other identification documents so they have the necessary information to be verified they are the receiver.
